Saturday Night Glow by Jesse Cahill

NO FLASHLIGHTS/HEADLAMPS/ETC unless UV only. (I understand many do not have UV lights so if you must have an oldschool flashlight please bring an oldschool backpack to charge your discs inside.) It's hard enough to see at night & that's kind of the point. No lighting up the holes looking for routes/tree's etc. Your eye's adjust to the night & it's impossible to stay adjusted when someone keeps looking at you with a headlight on.

Also since all of out open players have berths as well as the advanced players (I think), most all of the berths will be given away at the AM2 & AM3 level.

I put that into the event information. I will not be playing FYI.

GLOW DOUBLES - Starts approx 9pm, sign up @ 8:30 near the practice basket.

Yes I'm talking to you Rob :)

I play a glow league every week & the above rule is in place with no exceptions.

It IS permitted to send a member of your group to the basket to place a lighted disc or basket light hole by hole.

Here's some handy glow tips,
If using glow sticks, tape them to your CLEAN disc earlier in the day before the due sets & they get wet. Use clear duct tape or gorilla tape.

An alternative to mini glow sticks, get a regular glow stick & break it on pieces of toilet paper, let it dry for a minute then use wide packaging tape to put the strips of TP on your plastic.

There is also a safety product out there that is a tape with a UV reactive strip on it, I don't know where to purchase it, but it's nice & out there somewhere. I'm looking.

I'll advertise Holly Glow to my league on Thursdays in A2, probably wont get many takers but the more the merrier.

GLOW IT UP!!!!!! I'm stuck working on Sat so no CC's for me, I'll see you all at the tail end of the party & HOLLY GLOW GOLF!!!

$5 to help cover food, beverages, & camping is all it costs.

No prizes other than State Qualifying Berths.

The Bag Tag Challenge has nothing to do with being the Club Champion for your division as there is only 1 winner in the end of the tag season.

I was not planning on running an ace pool but, that should not stop players from running any type of side games that they want (ace pools, etc).

Club Championships at two courses, sounds fun. Is this free? Are there prizes? Is this separate from the end-of-season bag-tag championship? Ace pool? I guess I have to bring my own vegetarian food....

This is what the club is planning on providing:

Hamburgers & Hot Dogs with toppings
Buns
Beer (buick open week is making this HARD)
Chips

We are paying for the camping fees for the club member. IF you want to bring a guest to the party & camping that is great but, we will need an extra $3 for camping. :)

If people could bring some dishes to pass that would be really cool.

I've already got a state berth, and unable to play on saturday. If I was to play on Sunday, am I playing for plastic if I win or just playing in a tourney setting (no payout)?
One more question, is day one's rounds separate from day 2's rounds? I figured they would be added together.

New Pad for Hole #8 at Goldenrod?

Someone stole the tee pad at hole 8 at Goldenrod last year. Its pretty bad in the winter slipping on ice there. I think we should either all meet and pitch in to buy a new pad or possibly throw in a little more at Doubles on Sundays so we can buy one A.S.A.P. Tell me what you think and your opinions

Custom Disc Printing - Questions

I'm thinking about getting some discs printed with custom art. I was really impressed with the printing on the "08-09-09 Hollywoods Classic" discs - can someone put me in touch with the person/company that printed those for us? Was it the same person/company that did the supercolor discs that had the original Hollywood California sign on the mountainside changed to "Hollywoods"?

Also, would there be any problem with me coming up with my own "Flint Town Flyerz" design and printing some discs and… Continue
